Swift Point
Swift Point is a content management system, written in PHP 5, with AJAX and Apache's mod_rewrite module.
After having investigated the available content management systems both commercially and in the open source community, the Swift Point team came to the conclusion that there was no offering that ticked all the boxes. In fact, each content management system had a feature that formed its unique selling point, but didn't come up to scratch on the other elements.
So rather than choose the system with the best WYSIWYG editor, templating engine, plugins or site-tree-view, they decided to take inspiration from the research and create a new system that had the same attention to detail paid to every element.
Version 1.0 of the Swift Point Content Management System was completed in June 2008 and the product launched officially in August 2008. Version 2.0 was released in November 2008 and featured major re-workings of the administration console. Version 3.0 was released in March 2010, including a new plugin architecture and several new features, such as a new attribute based shop. Version 4.0 was released in June 2011 with major changes to the layout of the administration console and support for many new HTML 5 features.
