Update! To give credit where it is due British Gas had this one fixed less than 24 hours from the time I told them about it. Good work!
Usability is getting a bit more of the spotlight these days. People are starting to realise that usability is important and there is now a ton of advice to be found all over the Internet about the minuscule details that contribute towards better usability.
Sometimes though, you need to put down the magnifying glass and simply try to use your own website. That would be my advice to British Gas, whose website is actually not too bad all. There is one page, though, that has a slight problem - and here it is...
So I've filled in the form and submitted it and received the error message, "Please tick the box to let us know you have read and agree with the Terms and Conditions". That message is a nice bit of plain English, so I know exactly what to do... erm. Where's the tick box?
I guess I won't be signing up for this one then!
