With the continued issues on the jQuery Plugins website, I decided it was time to stop relying on their plugin repository to share my plugins with the world. When they have it up and running, I will of course add the latest versions of all my plugins to ensure anyone using them gets the latest and greatest features, but I am now also adding them to the JS Plugins JavaScript Library.

The JS Plugins website is currently in Alpha, with a public beta starting in September. The website isn't just a list of cool scripts, but is actually intended to be a source of definitive plugins. For example, it will list a single jQuery Auto-Complete plugin that is considered the best of breed, rather than listing lots of Auto-Complete plugins, which just leaves plugin consumers wading through the mire. They are also making it a requirement that there is a reasonable demo of each plugin and that documentation available.

As the site is currently welcoming suggestions, it is a great time to tell the developers what features you want on the website, visit the JS Plugins website to find out more and to contact the team.
