If you're an avid fan of Modern Warfare 2, as I am - you will have enjoyed the plethora of new features that Infinity Ward and Activision have supplied. I do not hesitate in saying that it is the best online game I have ever played.
However, the one thing that has changed for the worse is that they have stopped "Party Chat" in most of the game modes.
Party Chat allows you to carry on a conversation with your friends while playing the game, which means you can talk privately about whatever you like, without interfering with the game chat channel. It also gives you an escape from disruptive chat, such as people singing down the mic, playing loud music into the chat channel or otherwise being offensive (which some gamers think is a valid pastime).
Enter the [BBPC] Clan Tag. BBPC stands for "Bring Back Party Chat" - and it is a soft and friendly protest against being forced into game-chat to play the online games in Modern Warfare 2.
Currently, we are allowed party chat in just a couple of game modes, such as Ground War, but not in standard Domination, Demolition, Capture The Flag and Sabotage matches. Alternatively, if you are playing with just one other friend, you can use a private channel in any game mode - but we want to have party chat back in all game modes on MW2! Please!
If you want to support this friendly protest, please feel free to add the [BBPC] clan tag to your load-out and keep your fingers crossed for a game update sometime in the near future. With a bit of luck, we'll need suffer no-more public chat channel misery from those gamers who can't behave socially while shooting other people online ;)
