In order to fall in line with the current cold snap, I decided to re-style my Android for the winter.

The first step was to change the wallpaper, so a long press on the desktop to open the wallpaper gallery - and then select a wonderful snowy landscape.

The next step was to change the look of the clock. The analog clock that came pre-installed is cool, but not icy enough - so a swift trip to the marketplace to download "Digital Clock Widget" by Maize (free), which is an ultra-clean looking digital clock with date display.

I'm still trialling the different weather widgets on Android. I haven't found one yet that really floats my boat - but when I find one I'll tell you what it is.

My Recommended Free Android Market Downloads...

  • Digital Clock Widget by Maize
  • Google Maps by Google
  • beebPlayer by David Johnston
